Photographer’s Note

a tropical beauty for my 300th posting- a purple/white cattleya orchid. one of the the few left from my mom's collections. she now is 91 years young and isn't able anymore to tend to her pastime hobby, orchids.

dedicated to one of my TE favs, Danilo Martinez to wish him a speedy recovery! welcome back, Dan!

Hi Benedict,
Thank you very much for this cattleya dedication, and congratulations on your 300th posting. The flower is sharp and vivid, and yes I can see a few water drops which add 'oomph' factor. This would put into shame the cattleya I posted on TL. Hope things are well. So muggy here in Wash D.C. that I don't feel like venturing outside; my garden plants are in dire need of watering. Congrats for the 300th, O, tropical santa of TE!
What a lively celebration for one of the liveliest galleries around here. As for being a Leo, orchids are supposed to be my sign's favourite flower, and every time i see those beauties, i really fell stuck to them (though, my real favourite flower is sun flower).

Nearing your end? Why? Fed up with us? :(

ganda bro...i like the subtle violets against the whites. syempre greens add the fresh feel to the composition...tanong ko lang bro, how come hindi na-rereject ang mga flower photos mo. dami beses ko na sinubukan pero ni-re-reject ng TE.

I have posted my own just a few days ago and you are one of my earliest buddies of TE. It has been a real pleasure keeping in touch with you and I hope we can commemorate together the our 400th, 500th, 600th, 1200th posts.
It's a beautiful flower and a wonderful photo of it. The alignment of stones and putting the flower on the diagonal results very well compo wise and the flower stands out very nicely against the darker BG.
