Photographer’s Note

daily fresh catch like these are sold cheap for those who come early @ the Sanggali Pier Market. they are sold for a mere $2.00 a kilogram. folks in my city usually don't go for frozen fish hence coming here with mom, and 2 other sibblings one early morning, we ended up carrying home a basket of these bounty. it brought back childhood memories for me as well.

care for broiled parrot fish, anyone?

What a colorful bounty you have there!
Most of our fish are grey and silver, one is pinkish red. And that'a all.
But who cares? When you eat them, they all turn into the same...
Superb narrow cadrage, colors and sharpness. Not so hungry now, but look appealing to the eye.

Hi Benedict,
Sarap nito sa sugba. They look very fresh judging from the fish eyes and the red gills. Looks like this was taken using a spear which I find a better way to catch fish because you are selective and not destroy the corals. This is what I love most in the province ... abundance of fresh fish and cheap ... ummm yummy.
I like this macro shot ... the freshness of the colors and repeating patterns of the fish is visually very appealing. Well captured and composed. Excellent shot! tfs

I remember well the posts of fruits you did in my early days of TE. I guess that they were appetizers and not deserts. :-) Here we have some good candidates for the fish dish. Very nice pattern of shapes and colours. I wonder if a soup made of those blue ones will be blue. :D

Hi Benedict, Good combination of fish collors, blue in the bottom.I can see the harpoon wounds on the fishes. Heavy work to kill them one by one with harpoon.
