Photographer’s Note
rice- the staple of filipinos locally (and abroad). this is the reason why ricefields are common sights anywhere in the archipelago's more than 7000 different islands.
rice is primarily known as a crop grown in the lowlands regions of an area. but this is not true in the case of the philippines. rice was developed in the higher areas as well- on sculptured fields known as terraces. however, the most common ricefields are in the lowlands, just like this one. in the lowlands, people do not cultivate rice by rituals as much as their highland counterparts. in the lowland, people follow weather reports and other planting techniques. the lowlands have had more exposures to the west over time than have the more secluded highland peoples.
filipinos eat rice at every meal, e.g. for breakfast, lunch and dinner. having rice at the table is just as important to filipinos as it is for americans to have bread at the table. almost all people can afford it.

Hi Ben,
The green is very nice, and so is the scatterred trees. What you have to take care is the skyline which has cut the photo in half and şs lanted to the left, and the skies of which the major part is white i/o blue. Best regards. Salvator.
