Curved Palm, a photo from Palawan, Southern Tagalog

Photographer's Note

A curved coconut palm at 7 Commando Beach on the southern side of El Nido Headland. Part of the Bacuit Archipelago can be seen in the background. There are daytrips leaving daily from El Nido Beach between 8-9 am. Lunch is often included & you can hire masks, flippers & snorkels, to explore the fringing coral reefs just offshore.

a beautifully framed glimpse of paradise! Love the fg detailing and the DOF gives us a sharp view of the idyllic seascape beyond this amazing curvy palm. Composed and executed superbly. Wish you were here shot if ever I saw one.

In this cold and wet winter time here in Northern Europe, this kind of picture is always a delight for the eyes. Nice composed photograph with all the ingredients of the tropical dream to make it a fine picture and a pleasant and relaxing holiday scenery. A good paradise shot and a luminous view with dreamy colours.

Good Morning Chris,

The curved palm trunk has been very expressively used to give f/g impact and to ensure that the viewer explores every section of the frame.
The b/g creates a beautiful setting for your focal tree.
Very good use of light and fine, sharp, textural details.

The palm tree is helping to frame the scene. The distance between the beach and the islands is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the tropical scenery. The good luminosity is bringing out the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

its a very keen compo, having the mountain scape in the far bg is a cool adition to the scene, completes it smartly.

Allô Chris!
Très jolie photo qui nous donne envie de partir en vacances mais c'est pour un peu plus tard. Le palmier ou cocotier a surement eu un peu de misère mais il encadre bien naturellement la photo. La mer turquoise nous fait rêver et la perspective est excellente. Bel éclairage et merveilleuses couleurs.

Okay, I'm honestly looking forward to more photos of yours during your stay in the Philippines, especially in Palawan. Wow, the place is just amazing, I know Bacuit bay is the ha-long bay od the Philippines. I should pay a visit to this place quite soon!
