Photographer’s Note
We were on our way back to Manila from our quick vacation in White Beach, Puerto Galera when I happened to look out of our outrigger boat. The water turned really tranquil as we entered the Batangas Pier area, thus the reflection coming out clearly.
Was facinated by the contrast of colors with the white painted bamboo in the foreground, plus the red reflection of the boat's side channel and the dark blue sea. It was a hard shot as the banca (outrigger boat) was still relatively shaky. The photo turned out to be a bit over exposed on the top part, but I still liked the way the red looked on blue so.... =)
FYI: White Beach in Puerto Galera may be reached via outrigger boats/ferry which leaves Batangas Pier almost every hour. It is roughly an hour and 20 mins travel over sea, while public buses from Manila to Batangas Pier takes around 3 hours (give or take). They leave Manila daily at 30 mins interval. Puerto Galera, in Mindoro, could probably be called the "Boracay" of Luzon where you can find great beach and equally great night life!
