Photographer’s Note

The centuries old statue of St. Veronica used during the holy week processions in Boac, Marinduque, Philippines.

Veronica, from the Latin word "vera" (true) and Greek "eikon" (icon), was a legendary follower of Christ, upon whose handkerchief, a picture of Christ's features is said to have appeared.
