[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's been a while since the last time I posted a photo of Taal Volcano, one of the smallest active volcanoes in the world. This time around, I had 10 small birds as models. Perched on wild grass, they stayed there just enough time for me to capture a few shots. I made them as my subjects with the volcano in the background. Hope you like it.

Great shot - theres so much to take in with this one! As if the birds in formation on the plant matter basked in sunlight wasnt enough, we see a volcano in the background!
To me, Philippines is one of the under-rated travel destinations - so much beautiful sights to behold.
Regards!
Dave

Hi Alford,

the series of birds are very interesting. Using wide aperture makes your shot really nice. Congratulations,
Hakan

Hello Alford. A marvelous photo. It is arranged affectionate and in the aesthetic sense beautifully. In addition these fantastic colors in the contrast of yellow and blue. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Alford! This shot was a real surprise for me. Didn't that interesting line of birds until I viewed the large version. The shallow DOF is perfect here as it focuses our attention on the grasses and birds while allowing the volcanic landscape serve as the canvas.

Well done!
Doug

Hello Alford,
Interesting close-up of the straws, using Taal as blurry backdrop!
Come to think of it, the straws must be grown-up as I can count six pretty birds on one of them...
Well framed and a fine feeling of depth!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Alford. You show such a good eye in seeing this composition as that's very creative use of the foreground. I love the way the light is hitting from the side as well. Nice work Alford.

taking foto of this taal attraction has always been a challenge. i never am lucky enough, being there 3x to be exact, (the most current, november 7, 2007) and rain have always been the 'obstacle'. this foto is well lit, kahit na nga ang bulkan ay blurry, still a nice presentation and capture. it gives me the feeling of how exactly that smallest volcano looks like from a near distance. i shall try, again!
