Photographer’s Note
Whenever I see this photo, I'm reminded of the "Eye of Sauron" from Lord of the Rings :D This shot was taken at 6am. Dark clouds were forming during sunrise allowing me to take photos of the sun for just a few minutes.
Used Neat Image to reduce noise.

Good photo... when I read your note I realised why it is so rare I get photos like this one: 6am arrrghh!
The slow shutter speed you have used works really well; the picture has a dark feel to it, so the blured out movement of the waves compliments this. The only criticism is that there are jpeg compression artifacts visible, so I think it would have more appeal if you used lower compression/larger file size.
