Photographer's Note

every good friday, philippine catholic churches would cover the crucified christ with purple cloth in their respect altars. this is in commemoration of the death of christ for the sins of men. it is a form of grieving for filipino catholics.

even if christ has risen again, the drama of his "saving" is just too good for the filipino sentimental to pass. hence, there are commemorations of the lord's passion every holy week through the singing of the pasyon, flagellation, crucifixion (in pampanga).

cropping, auto levels and saturation for pp.
