Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival
Madayaw! A warm and friendly greeting derived from the Dabawenyo word "dayaw" the means good. It is also used to described any thing that is valuable, superior or beautiful. such is "Kadayawan". a celebration of life, a thanksgiving for the gifts of nature, the warmth of culture, the bounties of harvest and serenity of living.
Today, Kadayawan has metamorphosed into a "Festival of Festivals", as it honors Davao's heritage, its past personified by the ancestral "Lumads", and its industry as they parade in full regalia in thanksgiving for the blessing bestowed on the city.
Kadayawan sa Dabaw is an experience with a difference as it explores the past, present and future of the Dabawenyos, the Mindanaoans and the Filipinos. Its sights and sounds remain unparalelled. |

Very colourful picture Czaldy. The dancers add so much attraction to the image and the semi panoramic format works well. Good sharpness and excellent clarity. The note is very interesting to understand the meaning of this festival. Thanks Czaldy.

Nice , crispy colors and good framing. Natural posing since they are not looking at you
Hello Czaldy,
Vivid colors and repeating patterns made this compo very striking. Bilib ko sa POV niani, Bay. Very good dymanics with dancers in action plus very good image and color quality. Definitely one of your best posting, Bai. Excellent work! tfs
