[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Tonio and Encar lives in a shack with their 4 year old daughter. Making furnitures from bamboo helped augment their meager income from the small garden they tend. The finished product has to be peddled and cost around $4. more often than not, it would take a week to make a sale.

I really like the idea you had for this photo.
The "empty" expression in the woman's face reflects the consternation of gesture repeated hundreds of times, and the choice for black and white was perfect...
Very nice, indeed..

The picture is a bit blured, maybe due to the relatively long exposure, but it's hardly noticeble ;).

The description is as important as the photo. The image causes us to examine our own efforts and wealth compared to their labor and meager returns. I've never been to Davao but hope to go someday.
