there maybe more dogs in Paris than in Quezon City, but there are more bosses here. Dogs won the dispute here in Metro Manila that its already illegal to eat and trade dog meat...

CITY ORDINANCE 82-02:
PROHIBITING THE KILLING, SELLING, OR OFFERING FOR SALE OF ANY DOG FOR FOOD, THE STORING OR OFFERING OF DOG MEAT FOR SALE WITHIN METRO MANILA, THE TRANSPORTING OF DOGS AND/OR DOG MEAT TO AND FROM METRO MANILA, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Dog meat however is part of the traditional food source in the Corillera Region, in the Northern part of Luzon.

Dog salons are rapidly increasing in the city.
