Photographer’s Note

pinakbet is one of one my favorite filipino dishes originated from the northern part of the archipelago- ilocandia! it is a popular dish among hawaiian-pinoys.
this shot was taken at the saizaki buffet restaurant in makati city.

ti pinakbet (wenno pakkbet pinakebbet) ti kagrunaan a luto ti nateng dagiti ilokano, malaksid iti dinengdeng wenno inabraw. paria, tarong, okras ken kamatis ti nangnangruna a ramen ti pinakbet a mailuto iti bugguong,, marekaduan iti sibuyas, bawang, laya. mabalin met latta a nayonan pay iti bunga ti sili, pallang, parda, utong, sabong ti alukon, buket ti patani, kardis ken dadduma pay. dadduma nga agpakpakbet, laokanda pay iti karabasa, bagas ti kamotit, aba, balinghoy, buga, wenno kamangeg.
gagangay a masagpawan iti karne di baboy wenno tinuno nga ikan ti pinakbet. wenno iti bagnet (sitsaron), daing nga ikan, kurus, tapa a karne, ken dadumma pay.

nb: now, don't ask me what i typed, am no ilokano but can help with that coz i got tons of ilokano friends and in-laws, too!

Dear Sanctus Benedictus,
I saw this in your inro, thanx to your selection of "random photos".
Well, it looks like the paradise of o vegeterian (that is not me, LOL).
However we, in Turkey, also have lots of vegetable food which i am quite fond of devouring. The close up you tried here caused a delicious result, whatever the ingredients are, i now want to have a plate of pinakbet. TFS,
