Photographer’s Note

One of the many rice terraces in Sagada, part of the Cordillera Mountain range in the Northern Luzon in the Philippines. These terraces are man-made and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Cordillera’s rugged mountainous backbone contains many peaks exceeding 2,000 meters in height, with rolling hills and stretches of river valleys along its flanks. The Cordillera is both the highest and the single largest mass of mountains in the entire Philippine archipelago. Indonesia, China, and Vietnam also have beautiful rice terraces.

I have included in the WS an image of another rice terraces from a nearby province.
