Taken inside the St. Augustine Church, a UNESCO-declared World Heritage Site. I was going around the church when I chanced upon "Apo" (a respectful address to the elderly in the Ilocano dialect). Though limping a bit she still was fast. It was a surprise I managed to get a clear one.
I take special affinity to this church as the story of Augustine is one that has always amazed me and his words "Late have I loved Thee, Beauty so ancient yet so new," I find are my very words just looking around that structure.

Great shot Tina. I love pics with a lot of dark areas. Ha,ha. Sorry but I just got reminded of the Shrek movie when donkey shouts: - "Stay away from the light!" (Sick thought I know)

Hello Tina, you have made excellent use of the dark and light contrast, to great effect. It is a sensitive, subtle photo, as you have named it too. Wonderful!

Nice capture of this woman just out of the bright light. Walking on three legs she is a striking figure in your photo.
Good work Tina.

Hi, this photo evokes something....its very very simple, peaceful, nostalgic, a bit sad..

GREAT SHOT Tina! Like the drama to this. I think it would have more impact in monochrome. Try sepia.
BTW, thanks for the email. Should I join? Don't have the form and not sure about the Epson printer.

Terrific shot Tina! Very nicely done with a well written write-up. The figure of "Apo" s the clincher. You could emphasize more the cane and it's reflection.
