This is a really nice late evening capture. The reflection of the lights on the water creates a beautiful image and great straight lines that decorate the blue background.

I haven't been to Ormoc yet ... possibly you've seen my country more than me :) Hope the resort was not that noisy being close to the wharf. However, it would have a lovely and romantic view of the pier & ship lights just like this one. Well captured and presented. Well done! tfs

Must be nice to spend holiday and birthday in such relaxing place, away from winter cold. I am sure you could see sunrise or sunset here.

Really nice shot. I find the shutter 1/15 causing a little loss in sharpness. But the darker tone here still gives a splendid mood.

happy birthday, Karen, I wish I were able to share a birthday drink with you. The light simplifies everything so much and makes a strong image, I reminds me of a Japanese print (Hiroshige), Te placement of the horizon and the boat seem to have been done very carefully. Regards kevin

Hi Karen, a dreamy image with good reflections. I like the slight haziness here. A tighter crop would make it even better, I believe (just above the mountains and less foreground sea). Good work!

Dear Karen,
a very quiet and calm evening view on the sea.
Leyte is the special place for old Japanese like my father's generations...in WW2, many soldiers and people were dead there...
now it looks peaceful evening, it is good.
