Photographer’s Note
A view at the center of Ormac City, Leyte. I think I now have the sizing under control. Still playing around with other parts of the program though. Pointers are welcome. Happy Easter to everyone!

Hi, Karen,
looking good to me. It appears you had some inclement weather to deal with, but your eye is still good. There's a nice curve in the river that leads the eye in, great detail, and the color seems right for the conditions. Good sharpness, no artifacts... This looks great. Thanks and you have a good Easter, too!

Hello Karen,
A good composition making effective use of the curves offered by the river bank to draw the viewer into the scene. The sombre tones add to the move. Very good clarity.

Hi Karen
Wow! This is a dramatic improvement in clarity, over the earlier Philippines shots, with the artefacts in the sky & compression problems. Almost nothing to nitpick here! I tried a workshop. Tfs, & Happy Easter!

Hello Karen,
Not the best weather here for a land(city)scape, but you found yourself some nice perspective lines which make the whole image pretty interesting with the curve in the river and the bolders in the water which indicates the tide is low.
The sky could be treted in the pp, but not really important on such a small piece as we see here...nice work.

Hi Karen
This is a much better presentation. Picasa does some okay things but Photofiltre seems to be doing a better job for you. Nice "S" curve in the canal.

Hi Karen,
I like the perspective looking down the winding river. The people give a good sense of the size of the river and the shot is nice and sharp.

Hello Karen,
It is not the most charming style of waterway bank reinforcement, to have these large concrete slopes. It destroys any biodiversity or chances of any potential re-growth. But I understand that this area must get huge volumes of rain every monsoon season so this design would be pretty effective flood mitigation I guess. The lighting is not the best here for shooting, perhaps better if from behind you more, but you have made the most of the conditions by creating some good silvery reflections. Happy Easter.

Hello Karen,
Again we can enjoy some of the fruits of your trip to the Philippines. Here I would recommend a neutral density filter, to offset the over exposed sky. Otherwise the photograph is very good. The very thin black lining serves as an understated frame.
Warm regards,

good picture clarity and POV. What a sad image the cellular antenna. At least they don't paint them green-brown...

Hi Karen,
The impressive canal creates great depth as it twist through the lush tropical landscape. Lovely subtle reflections are seen in the glimmering silver surfce.
