Photographer's Note

Sea gypsies (Badjaos) preparing for work, early morning, Cebu, Philippines.

They are actually waiting for cruise ships and ferries to arrive at the wharf - for tourists to throw coins to the water so they can dive for them.

The Badjaos used to live in Mindanao in Southern Philippines.

Hello Ken! I hope someday to visit the place and see them...they actually teach in our elementary/primary school about the history of these people. Your shot actually shows more the beauty of the sunset and surroundings, and it look slike they're one happy family enjoying their fishing activity. But then your notes clearly explains how their life is. Good colors and sharpness! rgds.
