Photographer’s Note
These hills are one of the most well known attraction of Bohol which are scattered over the towns of Batuan, Carmen and Sagbayan. Chocolate Hills are gentle mounds of limestone left over from when Bohol was an undersea coral reef. Each hill was the junction of different branches of coral. Over time the branches eroded as the reef emerged from the water. But the junctions, structurally stronger, survived. They get their name because certain times of the year the grass on them dries and turn into brown, thus called the "Chocolate Hills".

Hi, Jay! Interesting natural phenomenon and successful shot! The light is rather gloomy, but I think such weather is typical for this place and the picture looks quite naturally. Best regards, Sergiy

hi jay,
lucky you to be around here on a bright day (i got the opposite when i went visit). the centrally-placed subject is alright but i would have preferred to see more of the hills, that is more of the the foothills.
