Life at the beach is not always that of happy people enjoying the sun. This young boy was working at Dumaluan beach on Panglao Island, looking for crab or other sea-life hidden under the stones. He continued doing so for a long time during the 1,5 - 2 hours I was at the beach.
Most kids in the Philippines are well aware of and react to camera's instantly. This boy did not, he was aware of me but completely ignored me continuing his search turning around stones in the shallow water.
Dumaluan beach is one of the many beautiful tropial sandy beaches at Panglao island with palm trees all around. It was recommended to me by a very good friend of mine from Cebu. This photo is dedicated to her as I know she likes it very much.

Remarkable daily life picture from some of the poorest parts of S-E Asia.
