Photographer’s Note

waiting for my boss to end her meeting, i took this shot of an obo-manobo woman sitting 4 meters away from me. i dare not get a closer shot for fear that she might shy away. the puff she made was just in time for the shot.

her tribe lives in brgy. chua, bagumbayan in sultan kudarat. they are into farming. travelling there is heartbreaking because of the barren mountains caused by logging.

Hi, I think that the subject has the potential to make a good photo, just a couple of thoughts. The shot is very grainy, whilst this is ok on the BG the subject is too. Also the centered composition results in a static image, it would have been better had she been placed in the right hand third of the frame. Cheers, Steve
