Easter Festival 2008, Pampanga, Philippines. The main and most controversial events during the festival are crucifixions. During the main one people are actualy nailed to the crosses (photos coming soon). There are also many soft versions - people are only tied up to the crosses with a rope.
But before that they have to carry their own crosses, like Jesus Christ did. During the procession the characters acting Roman soldiers beat them and sneer at them. The falled guy on the photo looked pretty seriously tired during that march. |
