Photographer’s Note

Zambales has been gifted with the natural beauty of its surroundings. It has been touched by civilization yet has maintained its rustic glory and beauty. The Zambales coastline is most famous for its sandy beaches and deep blue sea teeming with coral reefs.

This long magical coastline is not so famous yet, with foreigners. Local tourism makes this place so popular.

San Antonio, Zambales is north-west of the country. It will take you 3 hrs from Manila to reach this beauty of the country.

I notice the lovely summer clouds, just like the ones we have here in Norway today hehehe...
Good point of view, and the sandy beach takes my eyes to the volcano like mountains in the back!

Hello Josh,
Nice holiday picture indeed, but I noticed that long distance subjects are loosing sharpness, not only here but also in other pictures in your gallery (such as "Lake Reflection" or "The Deer Farm" for example). Anyway, I think this image could be enhanced just by adding a little light, clarity and sharpness. That's what I did in a WS, I wonder what you think about...

I agree with you that zambales has a lot of potential to be a tourist attraction. Problem is the infrastructure is only good up to the former US naval base, Subic that is. Beyond that nothing change. I like your take here showing these small communities along Zambales coastline. Very Good. TFS.

Hi, Josh,

The scenery here is beautiful.

I like your composition. If I had one suggestion there, it would be to think about positioning the thatch-roofed hut so that it doesn't collide so much visually with the vegetation in the background.

The bright white clouds contrasted against the brilliant blue sky are what make this photo particularly appealing to me. To my eye, though, the sky doesn't seem quite so bright as I would expect. I've posted a workshop version with the white level increased. Have a look and see what you think!
