Photographer’s Note
Mt. Pinatubo eruption in 1991 was the 2nd largest volcanic eruption in the 20th century that killed hundreds and displaced hundred thousand families. Today, Mt. Pinatubo is healing itself, spawning vegetation that is indicative of flora & fauna are beginning to thrive and it attracts more visitors. Rocks piled vertically on top of boulder rocks are visible pylon guiding off-road vehicles to safer direction. From 4x4 road end an hour trek takes you to Pinatubo “skyway” which became impassable after it eroded from recent typhoon Cosme, another hour on foot is the breathtaking crater.
