[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Bound for a journey to historic Corregidor, this was how the sunset looked like. From the tranquility of this sunset, it's hard to imagine that just about 50 years ago, a very bloody encounter took place near this area.

If you had followed key battles in World War 2, Corregidor is one of the last, most valiant stands taken by American and Filipino soldiers as they tried to repel the Japanese invasion. It was said that the delay the Japanese suffered in Corregidor prevented them from invading Australia. Corregidor fell after 4-5 days, which led to one of the most cruel episodes of the war, called the Death March, where thousands of American and Filipino soldiers were forced to march barefoot from Corregidor to Capas, Tarlac - a 200-km walk, without food or water. I'll post photos of the war relics later.

It was said Corregidor's soil and water are "red" because of the blood that was spilled during the war.

nice sunset, the colours are striking. the lighting and clouds are great, A nice contrast between bright and dark. Nice historic note, The march was terrible. so was the war, so many lives lost.. the Manila massacare was incredibly cruel, everyone, children, babies, elderly people, totally slaughtered without thought.
