[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken at Sabtang Port, Batanes, during sunrise. I used the boat as my foreground element with the sunrise in the background. Using 25 secs exposure made the clouds streak a little bit and the water smoother. These boats are called "faluwa" by the locals, and are designed for the rough waters of Batanes.

Hello Alford,
WOW! great shot, amazing colors, beautiful light and very good sharpness and depth of field, excellent composition and point of view, the placement of the boat is fantastic, well done.
Angela

Excellent shot! I think that you did a great job of perfectly exposing the foreground, despite the brighter sky. blurring of the water and clouds make for a very nice/soft backdrop for the boat.

well done.

Hi Alford

Very strong colours for a sunrise shot, the highlights are not burning out. You have some very good reds, yellows, blues and purples complimenting each other well. The boat is indeed very good, you can read the detail very well on the side of boat. Sharpness is spot on, composition great.

hi Alford

I like this shot, with nicely exposed sunrise colors and contrast strongly. The darker tone shows the actual sunrise scene and you have caught a good composition. Nice shot.

Hello Alford,

I am glad you to see again, after a long period.
Without tripod is this impossible 20 seconds is very long.
You took a very good picture with strong backlight, very well composition through the boat in foreground as eye catcher, and lovely sky.
Very well done, thanks for sharing.

Best regards,
John.

Sunrise in Batanes is beautiful, this means an early wakeup and a perfect timing. Something to consider on my Balikbayan trip to Philippines. Excellent shot.
