Photographer’s Note
The simplest yet happiest person I've met is this old lady from Ifugao. She owned one of the rice terraces and now she lets her sons and daughters take care of the family's humble livelihood.
And the most beautiful old lady I met. She grows old so gracefully. What you see is beyond... a beauty that comes from within.

Hola!
nice B&W portrait. Well done with the depth, and with the composition showing us the hat and a little her clothes. I like to the B&W procesing, but may be I find this picture a little too much grey. I know that you can't play a lot with contrast, because there are not many black and white. May be you can play a little with the "curves" on photoshop, to make clear the grey...just a point of view.
Any way, nice one, and nice to see some other who makes B&W pictures.
Hasta la vista,
Javier

Hey Josh,
As with most B&W portraits, the medium you used is more realistic in expression, a bit soft though, the tone is amazing, dealing more with texture, her life lines are her good qualities seeing her life's long journey up to this modern age.
Good leveling, tight focus makes the subject very intimate even taken at focal range of 105mm. That zoom lens did allow you to capture her from further afield without distracting her. Dude what would really be straight off the bat if she had spotted you and looked you straight in the eye! Good work though, love the approach and the end note as well.
All the best ;)
