Photographer's Note
the 2000-year old banaue rice terraces, carved with the mountains of ifugao by the indigenous batad ancestors. built with minimal pieces of equipment, largely by hand. it is approximately 5000 feet above sea level, a UNESCO world heritage site. constant reconstruction and care are needed to correct the gradual erosions that are characteristics of the "steps".

Hi Benedict.
A very nice picture of these amazing rice fields. I like the POV and the perspective that make the picture dynamic.
I'm not so sure for the frame you added. This progressively whitish border makes me feel as if the limits of the picture were overexposed and I don't really like it. But, it's just a personal opinion!
Thanks for sharing.

Hey Benedict,
For some these are "stairways to heaven", this vast rice terraces are truly magnifiscent. Great POV, would be so perfect if the house was cropped. This is one of your best landscape shots!
Cheers!

Amazing!
Very well exposed and nice compo. The DOF is perfect. That makes me wonder why you used only f2.8. Did you want anything blurred?
A little bit more sharpness would improve, but nothing so heavy as BitemeJack's WS.

Hi Benedict,
This is a fantastic POV, and breathtaking. The weather has not helped, otherwise a blue sky would have made it much more effective. Thanks for sharing,

Lovely shot of these rice fields!
The repeating lines of the terraces work very effective in this frame. What also is effective, is the border of the terrace, that starts in the lower left corner and curves nicely into the distance. Now that I look closer, same for the terrace below that one, which border is emerging from the right. In general all tose curves make a nice image. Nice colours, good contrast and sharpness here aswell.
I like the hills/mountains in the distance being a bit fainted, that way the rice terraces really pop out.
I also like the soft frame you made.
Well done, very nice result!

Hi Benedict,
Superb landscape, I like these snaking leading lines starting from the corners, framed tightly but well, however your fading frame spoils the corners.
Have a nice day,

Great and beautiful photo Ben, Gratzz!
This is the great engineering by the farmer. Think how to channel enough water to all the field and to maintain it for 3-4 months.
This place always amaze me.. Thanks a lot for Sharing Ben.

Good composition with the terrace making levels down the hill. Maybe the house is out of frame but it's a nice shot. Felicidades.
