She's an Ifugao old woman, age around 85-90 years old. She spends her day sitting at the Banaue Rice Terraces Viewpoint area making beads (similar to what she's wearing). The beads will be sold later at the small stores surrounding the place. With her wearing her native clothes, she's one of the attractions in the area.
Sights like her are getting more rare everyday as the younger generation of Ifugao children usually don't wear their native attires anymore.
This is my 1st post about Banaue, its people and the rice terraces. Have been to the place many times before (I spent my childhood days in Ifugao, where my mother worked then), but seldom took photos. I visited the place again last month and snapped a few to share here in TE. Will post more in the future.

Hi Alford, I hope more images to see of this culture, this picture is very wonderful, I find the old woman with to make pearl splendid. The colours are very really and the modern chair is a great contrast with the culture of the Philippines. Everything sharp and clear.
My compliments Alford.

I like especially the composition.
The legs are however washed-out.
Should be quite easy to correct in photoshop or alike.

Very nice picture of this Ifugao old woman. I like very much her colorful clothes and the special chair on the left. The texture of the wood is also very interesting. Bravo!

Seeing this shot Alford, is either an encouragement or inspiring. To go around and to really study what is around us. To know who we are and who are they, around us. I have also learnt that, people of those years gone by, could turn around difficulties into something creative, beside being valuable. Hoping to learn more Alford.

Hi Alford this is a very nice colorful picture of this woman. The picture reminded me of a picture of Darren this one : http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/Philippines/photo38046.htm. And then I see they are both Ifugao ;-)
You captured a beautiful lady, and I esepcially like her old hands, very nice composition!
