Photographer’s Note
They rise from the valley floor, some as high as 1,500 meters, like stairways to heaven, with low walls retaining each other. They were built more than 2,000 years ago, by the Ifugao, a tribal people in northern Philippines. It is said that if every stone and mud wall supporting the terraces were laid end to end, they would reach halfway around the world.
In 1995 the rice terraces were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site

I find these very interesting, reminding me somewhat of Machu Pichu on the other side of the world. Nice light.
