Photographer’s Note

Location: Batan island, Batanes. This house sits alone on top of a hill overlooking the ocean. I used the lightpost as foreground with the house in the background. The place was actually being renovated when I got there, so I tried to hide all the construction materials and the workers, and this is the best I got. Hope you like it.

I do like it, very much!
The use of the lightpost not only creates f/g interest but gives good perspective to the rest of the shot!
Lovely diagonal composition, with the focal point of the house nicely off-centre.

This must be a superb location with stunning views over the sea. You have done well to hide all evidence of the renovation!
