[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Mt Mayon is an active volcano in the Philippines, and has a classic conical shape making is so photogenic. It is the most active volcano in the Philippines, and Mayon has erupted 47 times.
There was smoke poring out of the hole as can be seen in the photo, when I was there a few months back. It was also deserted of any other people most of the time, certainly no other tourists which was interesting. It's location is just out of the town Legaspi.

Hi David,
Nice POV of the volcano! The smoke coming of it is great! Must be spectacular to see a volcano in eruption, but also dangerous;)
Regards
igo

David,
Amazing place and you have presented it well. Your composition is great framing the volcano with the trees. The smoke coming out of the cone is classic. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF.

Asa

Well done. The clouds and smoke give the volcano an even more menacing feel. It is indeed a classically shaped volcano. Great capture.

Hi David

I like the framing with the trees. It does indeed look prehistoric. How about waiting until the dinosaurs show up for some added interest Ha!Ha!. well composed and the exposure is spot on. Well done.

Hi David,

Very impressive capture of this volcano. The clouds give it a special atmosphere. I like this composition, the trees on both sides make a nice frame.
Great colours, beautiful image, thanks for sharing!
