Mayon Volcano is an active volcano in the Philippines on the island of Luzon, in the province of Albay in the Bicol Region. Its almost perfectly-shaped cone is considered by some to be the Philippine equivalent of Mount Fuji in Japan. Mayon is 2,462 meters high and is one of the active volcanos in the Philippines. Its first recorded eruption was in 1616 and has erupted at least 47 times.

Beautiful, perfectly centered pic, though i'd like the volcano slightly off-centre. A bit of contrast might show better the shape of the volcano. A very nice pic anyway!

nice picture, good composition - just a thin strip of land in foreground makes the mountain even more majestic. Nice colurs, I like the saturated foreground vs. the blureed background.

Wow, that thumbnail really caught my eye! Incredible shape! I have seen lots of volcanoes during my stay in South America but this one is regarding it's shape the most beautiful I've seen so far. Well, the altitude is not that spectacular, but since the place you took this shot from isn't situated that high it looks impressive!

I like the composition but I will have appreciated to see more details on the volcano, like a spotlight on the performer, maybe at another visit will the weather cooperate with you(like your previous pic)
Have a nice day

Roberto, the thumbnail really doesn't say much about this image. Is after you open it when you can appreciate the scale and the beauty os the scenery. Great capture and welcome to TE. See you around!

Wonderful image .. obviously an impressive site .. I like the soft colors .. the foreground you have chosen is perfect for it. The way the volcano fits into the image is wonderful.

Hi Roberto, Good composition of this perfect cone. I was near Legaspi a few years ago and recall seeing the local photos of this volcano in eruption mode just a few years earlier. Very interestin. Murray.

Probably the most photographed volcano in the Philippines?
If so, the perfect shape may be the reason...
I like the fine feeling of depth, created by the haze and palm trees up front!

great mountain in front of our eyes thanks to you! The point of view is ideal in order to see the altitude and the cone's shape. Thank you very much for sharing. Best wishes,

Hi Roberto. This is one of those occasions when placing the subject dead centre works very well because it is the symmetry of the Mayon volcano that makes it so striking. The image lacks a little contrast, so I am wondering whether a levels adjustments might improve it? Cheers . . . David
