The road from Raikot bridge to Jhel
climb up in 15km of 1320mt
along the steep side of the mountain
overlooking dizzy precipices.
On the way up I enjoyed
the jeep ride
it was sunny...

Three days later
on my way down
with the rain that
completely erased the road
in several places
it was less pleasant...
Jeeps can't move
so we had to walk...
ovelooking far down
the rumbling river
we had to exceed
the landslides
taking well care
of the rolling stones
and the sliding ground.

This man live in Jhel
and his name is Namat
for him all this
is just ordinary life
but he helped us
in the difficult spots
and went with us
until Raikot bridge
below on the Indus valley
where our jeep was waiting
for us since the early morning.

Hi Luca,

very nice composition. I like the way the guy looks at you and that beautiful background. It looks a dangerous abyss. Very good work!

What an adventure, Luca! That would have given me the willies, but thank God both you and your camera arrived safely home. I like Namat, his quiet confidence among precipices and rocks, his home... a wonderful shot, sublime scenery with the lovely little white clouds entering these high mountains... beautiful work!

Une belle rencontre qui t'a permis de réaliser cette superbe photo. Le paysage est d'une beauté sauvage à couper le souffle et les couleurs fantastiques. Très belle composition.

Hi Luca. Marvelous shot of a place that most of us will never see. Exceptional details, astounding PoV. I love his jacket which somehow just looks right in this setting of black, grey and white daubs of colour. It must have been an unforgettable experience. regards. Klaudio.

He looks really confident and at home here, I am sure he has the feet of a mountain goat, (I know these mountain people.) Stunning scenery!

Hi Lucas,
you were finaly lucky on the way down! You made this shot!
Landslides in Northern areas are always a good opportunity to share good time with locals.
This is a good portrait with a good lightning.
Reards,
Pierre

ciao Luca, molto bella...come sempre!
mi impressiona il paesaggio attorno a quest' uomo!!
è incredibile....mi crea uno strano stato d' animo..
ciao!

Another great daily life photo of Pakistan. The background is, well, nothing less than spetacular. The man's position and expression express to me a sense of not being too happy about going up the mountain. His sack sort of adds to this feel, or I should say his lack of a backpack. Great colors in the man's clothing also, with the black and white jacket contrasting with the cream colored robes.

Very nice work.
Great shot.
John

Hi Luca,
I agree with the others abouthe picture´s quality ! In addition I´d like to say that the kick in this comes from the incredible contrast between the roughness of mountains/man´s face and his clothing - the neat white trousers and his jacket are symbols of his pride.
TFS best regards from Austria Chris
