Photographer’s Note

The picture was taken early in the morning from Yashpirt (3302m) during the Batrura Glacier Trek. In Wakhi language yash means "horse", pirt - " a slponig meadow". It was the first day of clear sky after week of bad weather.
Abobe the Ice Flow you can find first on the left - Pasu Sar (7478m) then Muchu Chnish (7453m) and Batura Wall Peaks. The flowing down masses of ice feeds the Batura Glacier (56km long) which is the largest glacier in this region and the eight largest glacier in Karakoram.
