It's a nice image here, with good colours and sharpness, although the composition could have been improved upon - the piece of paper on the wall seems to be sticking to her head. Maybe try cloning it out or looking out for potential problems in the background next time.
Thanks

great portrait. With that expression, one can only image the stories she has to tell.

Maciej, this is a wizened, weathered visage. Your muted color pallette works fine here. It' a good portrait. How do you like the 5D so far? regards, c

On ne voit plus beaucoup d'espoir dans les yeux de cette femme qui semble se raccrocher à la religion. Beaucoup de force dans ce beau portrait

Strong, unswerving portrait, Maciej. No tricks, no fancy fireworks, just the straight deal, and a very good one it is too. If portraits are there to reveal the sould of the subject, you've donew adamn good job.
Best,
Francis

Not too sure if that's a picture which has enough punch to make me think it's a good one. The portrait is certainly rightly shot and her reminds me of Renaissance portrait painters made but I can't feel I am getting closer to her looking at the picture. A nice portrait, but I can not help thinking it could be more interesting, having more impact.

Hello Maciej,
Marvelous portrait. Technically perfect, at my oopinion. And the expression of this woman is great.
Best regards, Laurent.

This looks quite different from your latest stuff, both in terms of what you are showing us and in how you processed it. I do think the contrasty look and muted colors work here, so no complaints on that part. For the composition, I would have prefered her more to the left for two reasons. First it would have brought her more off center and it would also have eliminated some of the curtain at the top left, which keeps catching my eyes. Emotionally, this isn't as interesting to me as your more experimental stuff lately.

Osobiście uważam, że portret jest świetny i spojrzenie kobiety w kierunku obiektywu podoba mi się tak samo jak i kompozycja.
Pozdrawiam, Marek.

Hi Maciej
A very well captured portrait. I like the relaxed style of the woman and the almost curious look on her face. The technicals are all good and the framing works well. The paper in the background is not an issue for me as it doesn't detract too much from the picture. Well done.
