Photographer’s Note
This was the place where "Lahore Resolution" (later known as "Pakistan Resolution") was proposed on 23rd of March, 1940, in which a separate country for the Muslims of south Asia was demanded for the first time. The name Pakistan was not well-known at that time, though it was proposed in 1932 by Chaudhry Rehmat Ali in a pamphlet titled "Now or Never".
