this picture taken in Sibi(very hot and poor village of Balochistan provance).
this kid standing on the edge of open trash heap. They set fire on this heap (this mysterious smoke coming from it)..
he is not wearing a pair of shoes and neat cloths to wear shows they are poor, smoke and fire indicating polution and parents of this kid dont know what their kids are doing it shows they have enough childern and simply they can not take care of them..

Great shot, it shows that we are capable of great things here on earth but that we are also not able to get some of our children out of their poor conditions. Thanks for reminding us. Nice composition and exposition.

Mario

Hi Mujtaba
Very beautifull picture. The light is great in the smoke. I also like the face of this little child.
Well done
Bertrand

Hi Mujtaba
what a sad photo !
the gravity of the face of the boy is very moving. His glance in smoke is of a great sadness.
You made a success of a very beautiful photograph.
thank's
Pascal

mujtaba,
as you commented on my photo before, it is a sad but fact of life for many of the third world countries. and also as i have said before, as long as politics, religion and power play is not removed from our socities we'll face this kind of reality for days to come. all you and i can do is do our part and hope someday the people in power will come to their senses and do something about this.
my hat's off to you for posting this shot.
well done!

Hi Mojtaba,
Very sad indeed! the garbage and smoke surrounding the boy help convey your message well. Hope this photo, motivates us, or those of us who can, to help out the poor in this holiday season.
warm wishes to you, my friend!
Skye

Truthful image, it's too bad that there are places in today's societies that have or cannot seem to relegate help to those unfortunate in modern allowances. Great Shot!

Salaam Mujtaba. powerful image, the boy's stare pierces through the smoke and really hits the views. nice work.

Narayan

Hi Mujtaba!
Good captured child portrait.Interesting surroundings and interesting note.

Hello, Mujtaba. I like this picture very much, first because it reminds us that too many children live in bad conditions and then because of the way this kid is looking at you, straight in the eyes, but with an interrogative look. The smoke adds softness to the light in your picture.

Hi Mujtaba,
Very nice shot. Beautiful portrait. If be not this normal life... selam

Well done and thanks for sharing.
Sad reality of life. But life goes on, for those who got too much, as well as for those who have too little. There is hope, he looks lost but healthy.
Zubair

Well rendered emotional shot, Mujtaba. It gives me a moment to reflect on the poverty still present in much of the world, and to have hope that some people will have a better year ahead, even if in a small way.

Hello Mujtaba,
For sure it's not a normal life. Your picture is good testimony of the stupidity and cupidity of our governments which prefer buying arms instead of feeding his children.
Best regards
Serge

hello Mujtaba, very sad portrait, a pitty what children are living again likre this boy!!!! good composition
thanks

Hi Mugush - sad but powerful image, the smoke really makes a special atmosphere, even if it comes from an unsavoury source,

Hi Mujtaba friend, your photo and your note is impressive and causes that we meditate and we reflect mainly on this so unequal and unjust world for the children.

A hug........ Paco

What a beautiful boy! I know many families in the U.S. who would welcome him. I am sad to see the poverty. Thanks for sharing this important photo, straight to my favorites!

Bonsoir Mujtaba,
Superbe image. Ce petit garçon avalant à longueur de jour toute cette fumée nocive est très intéressé par le photographe. Tu as bien su figer cette émotion.
Très beau cliché.

Martine

The smoke adds tremendous atmosphere to this image. Your notes are very moving.
Regards Colin

This is a very moving and beautiful portrait, perfectly composed. Without the help of your note this picture could be interpreted in many different ways, like many things we see in our world. Outstanding note, powerful vision. TFS, Don

claude

Missed this powerful, and beautifully executed shot. The somke gives it a fine atmosphere, and the expression speaks volumes, nice work.

Sure is a cute little guy!!!! Poor people are still happy in some places. They have family, religion, festivals. Poor children have love from their extended families often, and to me, that beats the educated child with no one but a tv or computer for companionhip. This child looks bewildered. Sadly many children the world around have no one to wonder where they are.

Hello Mujtaba.
This glance of child is very strong.
I like the simplicity of this image.
The smoke and the sunbeams make softer this image.

Dave.

Hi Mujtaba
Another one of your great documental images.
The scenario, the child´s eyes and cloth retreats very well the poverty in the third world.
I see that you put much of your feelings in your images, which I appreciate in a photographer (some art critics say that a photographer must be neutral to retreat better the reality, but I disagree).
I can compare your photos with the ones that Sebastião Salgado does… but in colors.
Keep working that way.

Teresa

hi Mujtaba,
nice photo, i think you have managed to show us all these facts within your photo!

Dear Mujtaba,
A very emotional and sad shot with great expression of human suffering, heartbreakingly enhanced by the fact that its a little kid. Composition is spot on with the smoke and rubbish, sadly, around the boy.

Thanks my friend, you create great emotion with your photos.
Chris

This is a very powerful shot, full of emotion.

The smoke, the dirty clothes, the sad face and the fact that this kid is looking straight at you contribute to a very touching photo.

Maybe you could crop a bit of the right part, so that the boy will be just more off center.

Excellent work !

It really says what you wanted it to say. Very well done indeed.

Another hardhitting and realistic portrayl of what you must observe on a daily basis Mugush,

Rightly so, you have brought it to us....a harsh reminder of the cruelty this youngster has faced already. I have a sinking feeling that things will not get any better for him...

hi mujtaba,
i went thru all your pictures. all great, they are! this particular shot made me very sad and emotional. it is, in what it depicts perfect in all honesty!! poverty is everywhere especially in the third world, where i also come from. i hope one day, instead of war and conflict, and arrogance and greed, the human race come realize that we are all one and we all should help each other rather than advocate destruction, anger or hatred.
and with regards to your postings, i salute you for a work well done! indeed, you are one of my favs. regards,

Abraço do Brasil,

Wow Mujtaba!

great expression of the boy, great atmosphere!!

This is a really outstanding picture! It has body, it lives. It touches your soul, seeing this kid standing there!

Sad story and there is a child just like this in every country, 100's of them. So very sad. You've photographed him beautiufully though. Very touching. TFS

Thanks for your comments on my photo " Come for a walk with me. (4)" :o)

Great shot of a sad reality. The face of the child is very expressive. Good crop which allows the smoke to add to the sad atmosphere. Regards, Yvonne

Those 3 things are a threat for the whole humanity, not just for the 3rd world countries. Changing the attitude of the main world economical powers will be a challenge, they can choose to find ways for solving these problems or not to do it and dye finally together with the poor ones (Only after the last tree has been cut down, only after the last river has been poisoned, only after the last fish has been caught, only then will you find that money can not be eaten, an Indian saying that I saw on a biologist emails) ...I think you know it!
Good illustration of the world we live in!
Elena

Mujtaba,
do you really think I can give a smiley to this picture?

This picture is technically perfect
cuz shows the face of poverty: smoke, dirt, the child's face... The compo's good, lighting is perfect and the smoke would be magic if it weren't the smoke of rubbish burning.
All in grey tones... again sadness. The textures. I can almost feel the rubbish plunge into my bare feet (though I am in a comfy arm-chair now). Even the grains/noise in the photo work for sadness...

They child is beautiful. Big eyes, dark skin, rich thick hair, surrounding a pretty face... But this child is not happy, so I can't smile.

you made a great shot. I feel sad. I can't smile looking at this poor child. the photo really deserves highest points, i.e technically it deserves a smiley. But I can't smile at this picture. This child doesn't make me happy.

If this photo were mine I would ask the viewers not to give any points cuz a smiley near this photo is outrageous to my mind. I would ask to leave only comments. "Disheartening" doesn't mean "Bad Pictures", the meaning is "You cannot smile when you are looking at these pictures". They show harsh reality.
