A view showing the Karakoram mountains taken during a flight from north Europe to Delhi at the summer season. Karakoram is home to the highest concentration of high peaks to be found anywhere on earth, including among others K2, Gasherbrum, Rakaposhi, Chogolisa and Nanga Parbat
A significant part, 28-50% of the Karakoram range is glaciated, compared to the Himalaya (8-12%) and Alps (2.2%). Mountain glaciers may serve as an indicator of climate change. The Karakoram mountain range has been referred to in a number of novels and movies. Rudyard Kipling refers to the Karakoram mountain range in his novel Kim (1900). Source : wiki modified

hi dear Miguel,
this is what I love most :) look at the world from bird's eye and observe the world from this specific angle.. snowy parts on top of the mountains and the shadows of the clouds are marvelous.. congratulations and thank you!

Sensational view of the mountain tops. Very dramatic scene with great colour and tone. It's very difficult to get as good a shot as this from a plane. Well done.

Mountaineous areas from above offer a spectacular view in clear weather. On most flights it's hard to have such good visibility so you were really lucky this time. The snow-covered peaks are captured with good sharpness and exposure, despite the thick window. Very well done.

Those mountains look so beautiful! Nicely captured with good lighting and nice details considering this taken through an airplane window. The horizon is a little bit off, otherwise well done, tfs.

Breath taking view of these impressive peaks, and even more so that we can see the curve of the earth in the distance, showing how vast this space is. The snow and clouds adds a great atmosphere.
All the best

Spotted beautifully from above, Miguel.
The Pakistan landscape is known to have hgigh summits snowy cupped, and yet not a tourism developed for income, rather a hideaway location for unfriendly groups. What a miss. Nice shap image through a clean window seat.

Fine bird's eye view of the majestic Karakoram mountains, with varying brown tones and geological textures and a white snow topping.
We have our own majestic mountain range here in California, the Sierra Nevada.
Thanks for sharing,

Great now I see for the first time the Karakoram range from above, after using the new mountain road between Islamabad and Kashgar in 1986. I was at the Karakoram pass, but I never saw the scenery from above. Thanks for the memories flash back

this is a really awesome sight, so vast, deep, rich and fascinating. An immense landscape full of high mountains and the details you were able to capture on the nearest ridges and slopes give us an idea of the succeeding ones. The colours are magnificent and the clouds with their shadows complete this extraordinary view in an also fascinating way. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,

Nice view of these mountains. Photos taken from behind the thick airplane windows always suffer a loss of contrast / colors. I am assuming you used some postprocessing to restore some of the loss. Nicely done.
One minor comment: Your horizon is tilted, a 4 degree CCW rotation should fix it.
