Photographer’s Note
May in Lahore is scorching hot not just during the day but also at night. My wife and I decided to pay the jewel in the crown of Lahore a night visit. Nearly 30 degrees at the time and we were sweating like anything. Nothing beats the heat list a cold glass of 'Lassi', whipped sweet yogurt on ice ;), and when close to the mosque, the best place to get lassi is the 'Coco's den'. Not only was the lassi great, the view of the mosque was magnificent. Elegantly lit up, the mosque was there with its usual splendor. I have a few more pictures of the mosque which I will post in the coming weeks.

Hi Kamran.
We're near-neighbours in the gallery today.
This shot is amazingly free of noise, but I suppose that's what a long exposure does. I find it a fraction dark, but the rendering of the lights is superb, and the four corner towers are clearly seen. You summoned up the atmosphere of the hot night well in both the picture and the note. Lovely shot.
Regards,
Andrew

Unfortunately the mosque isn't well lit like the ones in the Middle East to give full value to a 30 second exposure and a tiny aperture...
SalamAlaikum...Kamransahab...
you mentioned the market place..that would get you alot of subjects and scenes that would make memorable photos and would "interest TE" too :)

Hello Kamran,
I don't know if it is a meteorological or a mental matter, but 30 degrees at night certainly feels a lot worse than the same temperature at daytime.
This is a fine wide-angle shot with a very nicely coloured light shining on the mosque's courtyard and from the minarets. I also like the "stars" here end there.
With all respect, at first glance this looked like a football stadium during a late game. And I guess for some people football is almost like another religion.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Kamran
I share most of macondo's opinion. In a way, it seems so empty, but in another hand, your result, with the long exposure, is fantastic. The spots of lights that become stars, the sensation of space created by the ground of the mosque, (green as a football field but the minarets, sacred goalkeepers, resolve the ambiguity).... give a strong mood to the shot. The icing on the cake in this fine composition is the little star down. Bravo.

Hi Kamram
Nice shot, positioning of towers almost perfect with details very sharp and vibrant. I also like the affect with the star filter. Brilliant

Hi Kamran, ooh interesting. Unique POV of this spectacular structure. I like the stars of light surrounding the mosque and the green light emanating from the centre. Thanks for sharing, I hope your week's a good one, Lisa.
