Photographer’s Note
Oh, I am a little barber
And I go my merry way
With my razor and my leeches
I can always earn my pay
Though your chin be smooth as satin,
You will need me soon I know
For the Lord protects his barbers,
And He makes the stubble grow.
If I slip when I am shaving you
And cut you to the quick,
You can use me as a doctor
'Cause I also heal the sick.

Hello Kamran,
Good composition and a very effective capture of daily life. Both the Barber and his client are natural seemingly unaware of you, which is as it should be. I like your poem as well!

Hi - this is one of those images which goes into the historic archives of humanity and human endeavor in my book Kamran - a beautiful slice of life image - documenting it as it is. Photographically in one sense I could live without the car in the background but on the other hand it also places it in the age of the motor car and this adds to the historical record and reference value of this image.
nice work

Hi Kamran, what a beautiful and interesting shot of daily life. An outside barber shop, wow. I like your use of vertical and B&W was again a good choice, with very good and sharp DOF. TFS and have a lovely weekend, Lisa.

A really nice B&W street scene, Kamran. I am glad he concentrates so hard and is not distracted by you with his razor in his hand.

Salam Kamran. The photo is loaded with atmosphere, a sense of immediacy. Life as is, no bells and whistles.I still give my father haircuts al fresco and vice versa.Excellent B&W result. I wonder what the function of the chain is? Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Kamran, apart from the spray bottle it looks as though it is 60 years old, nice daily life shot & excellent PP work, as wolfgand said "worth seeing".

What a nice and great image!!
In the line of best photographs, great combination of theme and composition, and your election to post in black and white adds value to the capture.

Hello Kamran,
to me, this photo looks like a photo taken a hundred years ago! I guess it is because it is b&w. It's curious how the barber is fully concentrated on what he is doing. But the other man seems to be enjoying himself! maybe he is even sleeping? :) It's an interesting scene which I surely can't see in Moscow - and in many other places on Earth! :)
Interesting POV, interesting shot of daily life.
Best regards,
Elena
PS. Maybe the crop on the right is a little too tight?

Hello Kamran,
Another picture that I really like. All through Asia one can see these street barbers, but what amazes me with this guy is how he has moved an ordinary barber-shop to the street. It looks like a quite classy establishment, not the extremely simple businesses you usually find.
A fine contribution to TE.
Kind regards,
Gert

Salam Kamran,
It is an interesting daily life shot of the street barber n his customer which seems to have chain on his ankle! B n W has been a good choice and I also like its vertical framing..thank you.
Best regards, A

We have so many of these 'salons' on the roadside in India as well. I like the way you have managed to capture the scene with peace

Hola Kamran .........:
Although the definition is not good,
the framing is magnificent and the format
in B/W he is good very much to the result.
Un saludo
