Photographer’s Note
...as I sat
face burried in my hands...couldn't help feeling miserable...I needed something, someone to cheer me up
seems difficult in these times...caught between ...a dwindling ailing economy...200 dying in the bushfires...cricketers being shot at...
so I was saying that I needed someone to cheer me up and these brothers did just that. I didnt want to post a cheerless picture so I chose this one.
Pushed nearly 1000 kilometers deep into a foreign land...deep into Pakistani Punjab, these two Afghan brothers hadnt lost their jubilance...I think I have a much less reason to be sad.

Hi Kamran, a very happy photo, I like it and I think it can cheer us up a bit despite economy, tragedies and rain that keeps falling on our heads...
Have a nice day!

Hello Kamran! They are great, full of little crazy ideas of funny things they could do, and they made you smile! Wonderful, spontaneous, totally cute. Best regards, Barbara.

Hello Kamran,
Touching note and a wonderful picture. What a crazy world we live in...and yet there is beauty and joy, sometimes even where you don't expect it. Remember the good times!

Hi Kamran, I like this one a lot. Getting in close and a tight crop. Slight vignetting works well. Is that really 400ASA film, hard to believe the lack of grain. Most of all though, your engagement with these two mischief makers is apparent. cheers, Steve

Hi Kamran.
Terrific b/w shot with an appealing wide-angle effect of enlarging the hands in front. You got a great spontaneous and natural looking picture of these two boys having a friendly wrestle. It's great to see these two happy fellows from deep inside Pakistan to reassure us that there is normality and happiness. They look like a couple of likely cricketers, too. A wonderful double portrait with great quality. They deserve better than the disintegration that seems to be occurring over there. I hope that if they like cricket they will see top cricket return to their country sooner rather than later.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Kamran, how poetic your words are. They accompany the photo beautifully. And this is a photo of joy and hope. When I see those 2 little boys lauging and clowning around through their adversity, I realise that my life's pretty damn good! Beautiful B&W coversion, the DOF is great and I really like how you've gotten in so close to them. It's like they're clowning around with you too. TFS, Lisa.

Salam Kamran. This joyful and playful scene reminds me of my childhood when we didn't have much but were full of mischief and boundless energy. Lovely shot technically speaking with the hands being so prominent and speaking as loudly as the eyes and the smiles.Mir(peace).Klaudio.

You caught their moment of joy very well, Kamran. I like the tight framing. You're right that what we think of as cause for sadness, they would consider a very good life. I like the rich dark tones, but still allowing a lot of detail in their facial expressions. Regards, Ken.

Hi Kamran,
it was so easy...i opened your gallery and this one pup out as a bright first sunray in early morning.
So spontaneous, so alive, so beautiful. The joy delivered here is so great that melts you and brings a smile on a face before you even notice it. Love the angle, love the BW conversion but most of all i love these two boys that with your note make these photo pure perfection.
my very best regards and happy holidays,
jeri
