Photographer’s Note
There's obviously a problem with this auto-rickshaw and the owner is checking it out. Something seems to have gone wrong underneath. No need for a jack - just push the machine and it will tilt over. I'm not sure what's holding it up on the other side but it looks like the vehicle is balanced on two wheels.

Nice capture, Jonathan. Helps to show just unstable these things are too. Good composition, DOF and sharpness. Cheers . . . David

This is a fascinating picture - more from a technical perspective than image. it is interesting to note the layout of the suspension with very long rear trailing arms which are articulate from a near mid point of the vehicle. This gives them a large swing and makes it easier to traverse rough surfaces. Also worth noting the skid plate under the drivers cabin and the wear that has resulted from hitting the ground from time to time. Mechanically it is all very simple, but very effective.
Photographically it is a good image, but cropped perhaps a little too tight on the left hand side. It may also have played a bit better if you could have moved further to the right so that you were more behind the driver and cropped in tighter on him using the vehicle more as a background. As it stands (no pun intended) the current background confuses with the front of the vehicle.

I've been looking at this image for quite a few minutes now; just musing around all the little details on show, quite apart from the central image. I think this must mean that I like it!

Hi Jonathan,
A great moment you give us here. The man seems to be whole alone on the world. Only he and his car.
Nice shot

Very nice daily life and funny shot. It is interesting to notice that if that guy is the owner he looks more like a westerner in local clothing...TFS. Nikos

Hola Jonathan
Parece que tiene mala solución la averia de este peculiar vehiculo. Realmente un momento irrepetible. Buen composición y definición.

Hi Jonathan. I like your picture of daily life. It reminds me of my travels in India and China. There is always something wrong with their vehicles. Good composition with the owner looking under the rickshaw and this face at the back of the other vehicle looking at the owner.
Good job, Pascal

Jonathan, c'est une belle photo de la vie de tous les jours pleine de vie et d'humour. La lumière est excellente ainsi que les couleurs. L'attitude du propriétaire paraît perplexe il y a sûrement de quoi.

I wish I could do that with my car sometimes. A great shot of life in Pakistan and a little funny, the guy looks confused but they can fix anything over there.
