Met this young lady when we stopped at a small hillside restaurant called Kohistan Restaurant and Eatmol in the Swat Valley. She was sitting on the swings. I asked if I could take her photo but she only spoke Pashto which I didn't speak so, I pointed to the camera and she nodded her head and this is the result.
Many of the people in the northern regions of Pakistan are decendents of the armies of Alexander the Great and this girl shows some signs of that. She had dirty reddish blode hair and fair skin color.

Nice capture of this Pashtun girl in her natural pose. Good colors and contrast.

Very good capture.. As this is a shot taken with the permission of the subject, you could have tried to get some more with the angle and composition though you might not have succeeded to get the subject to a different location because of the language.
Anyway, this is a good one and the girl looks cute.

Wonderful composition and perfect colors...
The girl's look is beautiful... May be it needs a little crop from top...

sharp image but I find the background too distracting (the legs of someone and the playground equipment).

More blure background may improve it.
As I have never been in Pakistan, these kind of photos and notes make me more familiar to Pakistani faces, dresses and life style.
Thanks for sharing.

Very nice girl, she looks European; it's very strange.
For your photo lesson it's necessary to entirely include the principal subject and to avoid cutting the feet.

nice note. the girl is very beautiful. i love the simplicity in her face, but i also belive that the legs of the man appearing behind her head should have been avoided...

"Many of the people in the northern regions of Pakistan are decendents of the armies of Alexander the Great"
A popular just-so story, or ad hoc fallacy, to explain the European appearance of these people. If you go to Tajikistan you see girls like this all over the place, esp. in the Pamirs. Has nothing to do with "the armies of Alexander", but the ancient folk movement of Aryans east and southward. Simple as that. Crack a history book or a Wikipedia article. "Alexander's armies [why the plural?]" didn't settle in Swat or Pamir or anywhere else; I'm sure a limited comingling took place, but not nearly enough to explain these widespread Europid / Aryan genes in the East. Are the Tocharian mummies "descendants of Alexander's armies too"? If the Kalasha are "descendants of Alexander's armies", why do they speak an archaic Indo-Iranian language with zero influence from Greek, super- or substrate? why don't the Waziris and the Pamiris and the Ladakhis and the Kashmiris speak Greek, why is there absolutely no influence from ancient Greece anywhere from the Pamirs to the lower Himalayas if all of these peoples are "descendants of Alexander's armies [sic]"?
Because it's a fairy tale. A rumor. A myth. An error. A lie.
This girl isn't "Macedonian". She is Aryan.
