Photographer’s Note
Improptu visit to Shah Jehan Masjid in Thatta fell on the time just before Friday prayers - we reached the mosque a quarter past one and my travel companions persuaded me to stay for the prayers before we move on.
I like observing people in mosques, and this time i was lucky as there were more of them than usual, all waiting for the prayers. The dominating colour of the mosque is blue but i switched it off to focus on the atmosphere... i wonder if that works.
Half an hour later I was sitting near the front gate watching the late comers running in to the mosque who reminded me school kids late for school. They had the same guilty look to them!

Hi Olga, happy new year. This must be more than a holiday, last time I saw your pictures from here they were taken in August! Nicely caught daily life scene, and good in B&W. Generally a good range of tones, though a slight touch of OE and glare in the middle.

Wonderful photo. Great place and good capture of the moment. Its a bit tilted, you can correct it in PS.

This is very nice in black and white and has a lot of character. The architecture is perfect.
As Ash has already said, you could rotate the original to remove the tilt from the shot and improve the picture.

Olga,
This is outstanding and one of your best postings. I think it looks terrific in BW and you've really presented the contrasts very well. Nice job on metering and composing this image.
All the best.
