Photographer's Note

While passing through punjab plains, one sees smoke coming out of huge chimneys. These kilns are the traditional way how bricks are being made for construction. Though the technology is ancient, but the price these workers pay is huge...this is bonded slavery. All their lives, spanning generations, they are bonded to make bricks.

Though it may be interesting to see bricks being made the traditional way, but one feels sad that this is slavery.
