This photo was taken on a visit to the Demilitarized Zone. This shot is from inside one of the buildings that straddles the border between North and South Korea. The table in front of the UN soldier lies on the border. The UN and North Korean flags sit on their respective sides of the table. The UN soldier stays on the South Korean side, but visitors are able to walk over to the North Korean side of the building. However, you are always under the watchful gaze of the North Korean soldiers.

Thanks for bringing this photo to us. We tend to forget that this part of the world is still very touchy. The 2 gazes are perfectly captured, the korean soldier has such an amazing gaze ... wonder who is on the dark side of the world.
Although I like the current almost-vanished colors I tried a WS.
Thanks, Alain -

I have to wonder what you do for a living if you were in this place.
The atmosphere must be one of unending tension, of wondering what is on the other side ...
Great capture, and thank you for taking us there!

Talkful picture, the dark colors are good for the atmosphere of two Koreas.
TFS bye, Facsi
