I am a sucker for these photos. The sky really does look low, and the slope that leads to it, and the mountains which cut through the clouds only emphesise this effect. Technically very good - both on the exposure and sharpness.
I just wonder if you haven't overdone the sky saturation. But then you took this at altitude, so I may be completely wrong here! Beautiful landscape shot.

I feel for you Thien, it's no fun walking on a rocky surface at the best of times, but when you are high up too, with a more rarified air to contend with, this must have been gruelling.
It was well worth the effort though, a beautiful image, showing just how barren and stark our world can be, lovely colours too.

Excellent feeling of depth. The clear stones in the foreground that fade away and become shades with different colour tones. And a good composition, the mountain on the right makes sure one does not fall out of the frame :-)

Nice shot, Thien, but I need something more in here than just the rocks, mountains and sky...there is no real focal point here. In your last post you had the yellow tent which was the thing that made the shot happen for me. Here you don't have anything of that sort. Maybe a rock formation, or something similar, would improve the image greatly.

Looking at the thumpnail I thought that you left to much of the foreground rocks, but after looking at the image I like it a lot!
mainly for the changing color of the ground and the deep blue skypatched with the clouds.

Nice photo! The very small ( little foregrund rocks) to the very big ( mountains). Print this wall-sized and you have some great wallpaper! Well done!

Some times this kind of a shot would call for a "lack of a main subject or focal point" but I say, some times the emptiness IS the subject of interest. I wouldn't mind going there at all and taking such a nice picture. Very well done.

I do agree with fil that there is somthing missing though understand ninadevs point of view that emptiness is the subject here.
I love the sky and the open space....I think that even a small thing on one of the sides even a bigger rock would make this pic -perfect.

Colour range is fantastic, particularly in the mid section. I have the same question as Piotr about the intensity of the sky. Irrespective of that I think it is a superb shot.

J'ai pensé aller au Népal, j'y ai rêvé très fort mais je suis toujours restée au Québec. Très belle photo réussie. Bravo!

Colors are doing everything here. Incredible clouds, beautiful snow tops and a very special foreground with all these stones. Intense space feeling, from close-up to infinity.

A great landscape view! I love the fact that there is no focal point, it would break the perspective.

I think I prefer ninadev's view... I like this kind of shots where you have few but strong elements. I guess you've used a bit of a wideangle-lens here to make those mountains fade away and to magnifie the foreground details. I like that.
In the other way I see Gringofil's view, but put this one into a serie and it'll play a very strong part...
