Photographer’s Note
a street scene in Katmandu, a community policeman is patrolling along the street..
ironically i did not have the feeling of a "police state" during my presence in January this year. looked like dispute between Maoist rebellists and the royalists was a bit settled down due to forthcoming elections in November..

Fantastic street shot with great flair and total vision - boy on the left anchors the shot, tilt gives it tension - things were not yet comletely resolved in Nepal this January... still the spectre of war hanging over lives - so well rendered!

Ahhh...what a treat this morning! A superbly crafted shot that I would be proud of if only I could take such shots!! Absolutely fantastic...jam packed with visual elements, story, mood, stylized imagery...what else can one expect? Terrific image. Alas, the background is so painfully dark and the photo expresses this sense of foreboding so well, the photo so attractive yet so spectral--this is the stuff of real photography. Bravo, my friend!

A stunning image on many levels! the feelings expressed by all of your subjects are very strong: each one suggests a story of his (and her) own; the composition accents the mood, the lights and shadows add to the image, and of course it is technically sharp and clear

Damn this is good in its desin: pov, shadows, the timing.
Maybe the almost-visible body in the top-right shadow area is disturbing: should it be more visible or not?
Great overall.

Its a place inside freakstreet. I'm in Australia now but still miss this place so much..The mark on the wall is actually the stump for us to play cricket. And the kids are playing tiny glass balls i'm sure and wut m also sure is my mom is also sitting there with other women outthere...coz thats their daily routine to sit under the sunlight after lunch...wow...thanks Evren for this picture..u have no idea what this pic really means to me...
