Photographer’s Note
Repost of the original colour version. Cropped, turned BW, adjusted colour levels a bit of margenta and yellow not to have it too plainly BW, and framed.
a schoolgirl in bhaktapur. she kept staring at me while i was taking pictures around, and even when i took a picture of her too, she remained the same wihtout changing her expression.

This is defenatly an improvment of the origional pictur Lia. It is so much powerfull. Her eyes has becoem much more intence and there are less idstractions. Great photo and great post process work.

That's a very interesting portrait. I like the expression on the girl's face: so mature and stoical. Owing to the use of B&W there is an almost documentary feel to your shot. Excellent!

This is a very strong look on her face. The black and white seems to match and enhance the look. She was probably very interested in you and wondering what you were photographing. That's what that expression seems to suggest to me. It's nice and sharp but just soft enough for portrait like shot and the background is nicely blurred. And it is a really intriguing expression. Very nicely captured.

Yes Lia, i think you're creating your own style : tight BW portraits with a very intense look. This is the third or fourth portrait I'm looking in your gallery that really impresses me.
Definitely a signature from your style : the strong look.

Very intense and interesting look. Far more intense than we often see on such a young girl. Good DoF and a nice tight frame. Well done.

What a frown. I think its very queer to see such seriousness from a child and I wonder what's the story running in her mind.
I think you've made the photo into black and white very appropriate. I like the zigzag in the bkgound tiles giving the picture and extra punch.
